Robyn "Robbie" Hollis, age 61 of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Robyn was born in Vernon, Texas on June 24, 1957 to her parents Eugene TR Jones and Tessie C. (Carroll) Jones. She was raised in Vernon, Texas, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Tipton, Oklahoma. Later she moved to Altus where she married Larry Hollis on February 23, 2001 and they enjoyed over 17 years of marriage together before Larry's death in 2017. Together Robyn and Larry owned and operated Hollis Plumbing in Altus where Robyn was instrumental with all of the company’s business operations. She was a longtime member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ in Altus. Robyn worked hard for the family business and she enjoyed spending time in nature, exploring, hiking, target shooting, fishing, and a good campfire. But most of all, Robyn loved her family and she took great care of them. She loved keeping up with family traditions and treasured any time she could spend with her family and grandchildren and she will be missed very much.
Preceded in death by her husband Larry Hollis; her parents; Robyn is survived by her two sons, David Benivamonde and wife Monica of Corpus Christy, Texas; and Ricky Benivamonde and wife Leticia of Blair; seven grandchildren, Troy, Celia, Dominick, Ricky, Jr., Tory, Robert, and David Jr.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday evening, July 31, 2018 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
