Obituary for Betty Louise Sampler
Betty Louise Sampler, age 73 of Mangum, Oklahoma, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 31st, 2018, at her residence in Mangum.
Betty was born at Sopher, Oklahoma on January 17, 1945 to Leslie & Violet (Cahill) Harris.
Betty retired from Community Action as an outreach worker, where she worked for 16 years. One of her co-workers said, Betty loved her people, she stood up & fought for them. Betty never met a stranger! She would talk, encourage, and pray for anyone!
Her 3 sons were her life. She left a legacy of unconditional love.
Betty enjoyed playing cards, especially “poker!†with her family. She enjoyed family time with ALL her large family. Her sense of humor was as sharp as she was! She could make anyone laugh!
She is loved by so many! Her faith in God was unspeakable even until the very end of her earthly life.
Betty was preceded in death by her son, James Ray Sampler, her parents, & 5 brothers and sisters; Elbert Harris, Evelyn Walton, Jorene Wollen, Harold Harris & Paul Harris.
She is survived by her sons; Travis, Wade and Michael Simpler. Her grandchildren are: Kendra Sampler. Justin Ray Sampler, Payton Sampler and great grandson Wyatt. She is survived by 6 brothers and sisters: Les Harris, Gary Harris, Barbara Smith, Travis Harris, Tina Dupree and Donna Lyda and MANY other relatives and friends.
