Jean as she is known by many family and friends, was born August 28, 1925 at Hollis/Russell Oklahoma, one of seven children of Richard and Susie Duncan. Upon returning back to Oklahoma the two newlyweds settled in to the Ladessa Community south of Mangum Okla. where they lived until they built their home in town in 1968. Jean Olive learned the ways of a tractor and would plow the fields and tend to cattle as her husband worked as the local postmaster by day. Her hobbies included square dancing, golf, gardening, sewing, crocheting, camping and playing games around the table with friends and family.
