Obituary for Myrna Braddock
Myrna Braddock, 89, died August 8, 1988 in Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Ballinger, Texas on November 17, 1898, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs George C. Wright. She moved to altus with her parents in March 1912. He father was with Cameron Lumber Company at that time and later founded the George C. Wright Lumber Yard in 1924.
Mrs Braddock was a 1916 graduate of Altus High school, attended Hardin College in Missouri and taught in the Altus school System for four years.
She married Bruce Braddock on May 21, 1922; He died on August 7, 1962. She was also preceded in death by a sister Georgiamae Stevenson on February1, 1986.
She is survived by a son Tom Braddock, Altus, Oklahoma; grandson David Braddock, Altus, Oklahoma granddaughter Gayle Abernathy, Altus, Oklahoma; granddaughter Dana Braddock, Norman, Oklahoma; three great grand children, Adam and Rachel Braddock, Ashley Abernathy.
