THOMASON
Eloise E. (Billie Jo) Thomason, age 90, of Mangum, passed away Friday afternoon, July 28, 2017, at the Mangum Regional Medical Center, in Mangum.
Mrs. Thomason was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 5, 1927, to Floyd and Nora (Saffel) Waller. On July 23, 1951, she married Oscar Crawford Thomason, in Sayre. With Crawford already farming, they moved to his farm where they spent over sixty years on the same farm, in the same house, until their home burned on April 12, 2011 and they moved to Mangum. A farm wife at heart, Billie Jo worked alongside Crawford for many years.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her daughter, Sandy Waller, five brothers and one sister, she is survived by one daughter, Charlene Joiner of Texas; and one son, Kenneth Waller of Washington state; six grandchildren, Tony Jenkins and wife Barbara of Texas, Shelly Mullens and husband Terry of Mangum, Tracey Thompson and husband Robert of Texas, Ricky Holloway and wife Marsha of Texas, Randy Taylor of Texas and Justin Bailey and wife Tiffany of Kansas; fifteen great grandchildren Heather, Kalea, Cheyenne, Colt, Dakota, Tonya, Lindsey, Heath, Elissa, Jared, Halie, Kyle, Kylie, Shacie and Ty; seventeen great grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services for Eloise Thomason will be at Wild Cat Cemetery at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017, with Shawn Laughlin officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Greer Funeral Home, of Mangum.
