Obituary for Sharon "Nana" Woods
Sharon "Nana" Woods (Norman) of Rocky, Oklahoma passed away on September 30, 2021 at the age of 67.
Glenda was born on October 8, 1953, in Childress, Texas, to parents A.V. and Syble Jean Norman. She grew up in Dodson, Texas and attended school there. Glenda married Robert Woods on October 3, 1975, in Wheeler, Texas. She was mother to one son, Bubba, and two daughters, Melody and Khyrstee.
Glenda worked in the health care industry for many years and served in several places. She strongly believed in the awesome power of prayer and was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church. In her spare time, Glenda enjoyed watching her favorite tv shows, Gunsmoke and Lonesome Dove. She also loved helping raise her grandchildren, whom were all precious to her and affectionately called her "Nana".
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and her ex-husband and friend, Robert Woods in August 2021.
Left to honor her memory are her children; Melody Hannah of Carter, OK; Bubba Woods of Oklahoma City, OK; and Khyrstee Norman of Ramona, Oklahoma; two brothers: Gary Norman and Larry Norman, both of Dodson, TX; two sisters: Ava Stumpe (Bruce) of Ocheleta, OK and Jackie Posey of Altus, OK; her grandchildren: Lindsey, Takota, Caitlyn, Zachary, Llogan, Addison and Alissabeth; one great-grandchild, Layton; and a close cousin, Shirley Shelton (James) of Clinton, OK.
Celebration of Life services will be at 10:00 pm, Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Harmon County Funeral Chapel in Hollis.
