Obituary for Gary Wayne Sauseda
Gary Wayne Sauseda, 50, resident of Mangum, Oklahoma passed away on October 19, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Gary was born on May 9, 1970 to Emilio and Toni (Torres) Sauseda in Marksville, Louisiana. Gary and his family moved to Mangum, Oklahoma when he was a year old. He graduated from Mangum High School in 1989. In 1991, he married Kelly Elledge in Vernon, Texas. To this union they welcomed two daughters, Ashley and Bailey. They were married for 23 years. Gary worked for the City of Mangum for over 20 years as a lineman. To know Gary, was to love him. He is known for his contagious smile and outgoing personality. He never met a stranger and could befriend anyone. Gary was the life of the party. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. His famous saying was, “I love you with all of my heart.” Gary also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing with Mickey Reed and hog hunting with Ricky Tice. He was a proud member of the Red River Cowboy Church in Mangum and was baptized by his pastor Darrell Coffman in 2015. Gary loved the Lord with all his heart and strived to be a better man for him each and every day.
Gary is preceded in death by his father, Emilio Sauseda.
Left to honor his memory are his daughters, Ashley Meyer and husband Jesse of Elk City, Oklahoma, and Bailey Sauseda of Mangum, Oklahoma; his mother, Toni Sauseda of Mangum, Oklahoma; one brother, Ricky Sauseda and wife Rosemary of Lawton, Oklahoma; three sisters, Genny Dyer and husband Bert of Mangum, Oklahoma, Debbie Embrey, and husband Bret of Azle, Texas, and Ginger Norton and husband Cary of Mangum, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brantley and Briley Meyer; the mother of his children, Kelly Gonzales; along with many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M., Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Greer Funeral Home in Mangum, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 23, 2020 at the Red River Cowboy Church in Mangum. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Mangum.
