Obituary for Woodrow Wilson Spradlin
Woodrow Wilson Spradlin, age 81, died at his residence Saturday, November 19th, 1994. Services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Sonny Tims. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery with Military Honors and under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Spradlin was born April 6, 1913 in Alabama. He was the son of Burl J. and Pearl (Smith) Spradlin. They moved west of Duke in 1920 at the age of seven. He married Opal I. Ledbetter at Duke in 1934. He was a Disabled Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Opal I. Spradlin of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; six children, Bonnie Ford, Jerry Spradlin, Veda Eiler and Sandra Spradlin, all of Altus, OK, Beverly Darcy of Glen Burney, MD and Jim Spradlin of Oklahoma City, OK; one brother, Dickie Spradlin of Amarillo, TX; five sisters, Gladys Slaughter of Amarillo, TX, Dina Stancliff and Geraldine Gray of Lawton, OK, Collie Thygerson of Utah and Myrtle Comstock of Long Beach, CA; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Rister, Jody and B.J. Spradlin; one sister, Nora Clauborne.
