Obituary for Wolfgang Reinhold Becker
Wolfgang "Bob" Reinhold Becker, age 77, resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020.
Wolfgang "Bob" was born in Weisbaben, Germany, on May 30, 1943, to his parents Kasper Josef Becker and Henriette (Kugelstadt) Becker. Bob grew up in Germany and moved to Illinois to finish school, and from there, he joined the United States Air force. He attended some college through the Airforce. On July 4, 1977, Bob married the love of his life Annemarie Elisabeth Becker in Weisbaden, Germany, and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage together. The Becker family was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany, Ramstein, Germany, Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Michigan, and then to his current residence of Altus, Oklahoma. Wolfgang worked for the United States Air Force until 1987 and then worked as a civilian on base until December 2019. He was a major supporter of animal rescue dogs, particularly. He enjoyed remote control airplanes, camping, fishing, hunting, boating, and spending lots of time with family and grandkids.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, father, Kaspar Josef Becker in 1972, and mother, Henriette (Kugelstadt) Becker in 1993; two brothers, one sister; Ann Morris formally of Mena, Arkansas; and one grandchild: Everly Hope Becker formally of Graham, Texas.
Bob is survived by his wife Annemarie Becker of their home; two sons, Michael Becker and wife Katherine Elizebeth Becker of Graham, Texas; Patrick Becker of Altus, Oklahoma; one daughter, Anna Becker Slaughter Silgero of Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Herbert Becker of KÓ§ln, Germany; and five grandchildren, Kaleigh Becker of Graham, Texas; Christopher Becker of Altus, Oklahoma; Zeegan Becker of Graham, Texas; Matthew Becker of Altus, Oklahoma; Patrick Becker of Altus, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jackson County Humane Society.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2020 at Lowell -Tims Funeral Home Chapel, Altus, Oklahoma interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday August 17, 2020 at Fort SIll National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.
