Obituary for Winnifred Martin Vernon
Mrs. Winnifred "Martin" Vernon, age 73, 154 Lakeside Dr., Altus, died Monday morning at Jackson County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Gerald "Barbara" Smith of Altus and Mrs. George Ann Waller of Annapolis, MD; three grandchildren, Melissa and Mikel Smith of Altus and Reed Waller of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Thursday at the Lowell Memorial Chapel, with the Reverend Robert DeMoss officiating. Burial will be in Altus City Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
