Winnie W. "Bill" Hinkle


Winnie W. (Bill) Hinkle was born December 10, 1907 in Jackson County, Oklahoma. He died February 23, 1993 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He married Josephine Barton, March 8, 1930 in Altus. He served overseas in the US Army during World War II. He had farmed most of his life before his retirement. He was a former resident of Jackson County and had resided in Arkansas 20 years before moving to Duncan in 1983.

Services are scheduled for 10am Friday in the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Sonny Tims officiating. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife Josephine Hinkle of Duncan, Oklahoma; sisters Cleo Womack of Springfield, Oregon; Marie Baltrhop of Springfield, Oregon; Ronnie Hughes of Altus, Oklahoma; many neices and nephews.

Preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers, Dewey, Erving and Aubrey Hinkle.
