GOUCHER
Winfred Arnold Goucher, age 86, of Altus, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Altus. Arnold was born on April 13, 1930 to Junnes Goucher and Alma (Weichel) Goucher in Colony. He graduated from El Reno High School in 1950 and then joined the United States Navy. He served our country in the Korean Conflict.
Arnold then moved to Altus where he met and married Patsy Beavers. He was employed by Wilson Packing Company and farmed near Duke for many years. Patsy and Arnold were married for 52 years until her death in 2012. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Altus.
Survivors include Arnold"s brother, Don Goucher and sisters-in-law Thelma Goucher and Etta Goucher all of El Reno. Nieces and nephews include Clyde Goucher, Cindy Goucher, Nita Goucher Ludlow, Matt Goucher, and Jeff Goucher.
Local relatives are Neta Walker, Renee" and Mickey Gunkel, Preston Gunkel, and Dalton Gunkel.
Funeral services for Arnold Goucher will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, of Altus.
