Obituary for Wilma Jean Wright
Memorial service will be at a later date for Wilma Jean Wright, 81, Duke, Oklahoma. Ms. Wright passed away on Friday, July 24th, 2015 at a local hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home, Altus, Oklahoma.

Wilma Jean Wright was born to Andrew and Jimmie (Pierce) Wright in Olustee, Oklahoma on March 16, 1934. Before moving to Duke, OK she lived in California with Gladys where they owned race horses. She moved to Duke, OK in 1990 where she owned and operated the Snowhut. She later moved to Duke where she was involved in all of the kids sports with her hotdog and snowcone stand. She faithfully supported the Duke Tigers. She drove the Transit bus until her health prevented her from doing so. She enjoyed going to Bingo and the Casinos. Jean was a member of the Duke Chamber of Commerce and the First Baptist Church, Duke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Marion and Jackie Wright; two nephews, Mark and Andy Wright and a lifelong friend, Gladys Hawkins.

Survivors include a sister in law, Wanda Wright of Chickasha, OK; a cousin, Verlyn Wright of Duke; many great nieces and nephews and many other relatives and close friends.
