Willie High age 54, of Altus, Oklahoma died September 27, 1967 at Memorial Hospital in Altus. He was born December 16, 1912 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Lewis High. Willie worked for K. P. Construction and had lived in Altus since 1924.
Funeral services for Willie High are scheduled for Saturday, September 30, 1967 at 2:00 pm at the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ, Altus, officiated by Vernon Traylor. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Willie High is survived by his step-mother Essie Mae High, Altus, one son L. W. High Altus, Oklahoma; eight daughters, Willie Merle Brooks, Lou Emma High, Lou Ida High, Georgia High, Ruth Ann High, Ethel Marie High, Jo Ann High Bobby Jean Cherry, all of Altus, Oklahoma; two sisters, Pearlie Mae High, Altus, Bennie Mae Beaver, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five brothers, Willie, Cleophas, Alton, Glenn, Lynn Ernest Watley, all of Altus; one grandchild.
