Obituary for William Joseph Kelsch
William Joseph Kelsch, age 55 of Altus, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 10, 2015 at his residence in Altus.

Mr. Kelsch was born on June 14, 1960 in Riverside, California to William J. and Wanda (Nome) Patton Kelsch. Moving to Amarillo, Texas as a child, Bill later moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he graduated from high school in 1978 and joined the United States Air
Force. From 1978 until 1995, Bill proudly served his country, retiring as a Tech Sergeant on December 31, 1995. Throughout his career, Bill was stationed at Carswell AFB, Texas, Williams AFB, Arizona, K.I. Sawyer AFB, Michigan, Kunsan AFB, Korea and Altus Air Force Base, where he retired. Shortly after Bill"s retirement he joined Civil Service and continued his Air Force duties as a jet engine mechanic.
Bill was a skilled mechanic and loved helping out friends and family by fixing their cars or helping them in any way he could. He enjoyed building anything with an engine, particularly model airplanes. He loved spending time with friends and family, walking his dogs, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma City Thunder.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda, a sister, Elaine Kelsch, a great niece, Wanda Reed, and a brother in law Douglas Hoelzen.
He is survived by his special friend, Sandy Harris; three children, April Kelsch of Wisconsin, Megan Hall and husband Tim of Louisiana, and Ryan Kelsch of Altus; a son in law Chad Marik of Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Desiree and Dustin Marik both of Wisconsin; two sisters, Debbie Hoelzen of Arizona and Jennie Kelsch of California; the mother of his children, Nita Kelsch of
Altus, along with a large extended family, several nieces and nephews, and cherished friends.

Funeral services for Bill Kelsch will be at 2 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2015, at Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jan Ivan Oden "Pastor Charlie" officiating.
