Obituary for William Jess Kelly
William Jess Kelly, age 86, long time resident of Elmer, Oklahoma, died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital on Saturday.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Lynn Gipson and Rev. Cecil Stubbs. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Born October 13th, 1906 in Lamar County, Texas, he came to Oklahoma in 1953. He was farmed near Elmer until his retirement in 1970. He married Grace Gable October 29, 1927 at Woodland, Texas. He was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include: his wife, Grace Kelly of the home in Elmer, Oklahoma; seven children, Bud Kelly and Mary Richardson, both of Elmer, OK, Arnold Kelly of Ft. Worth, TX, Sue Sirmons of Altus, OK, Nina Park of Levelland, TX, Doris Kurbo of Oklahoma City, OK and Myrtle Irene Travis of Wichita, KS; four sisters, Bonnie Flores of Temple, TX, Annie McHam of Hugo, OK, Mary Bell Frederick and Etta Green of Longview, TX; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a daughter, Debbie Virginia Kelly; a sister, Birty Green.
