William Franklin Shaw age 81 of Altus, Oklahoma died May 31, 1967 at Memorial Hospital in Altus.
William was born November 10, 1885 in Alabama to Allison and Sarah (Armstrong) Shaw. He married Della Belle, she preceded him in death March 17, 1959. William was a retired farmer and grocery store owner. He was a member of the Hess, Oklahoma Baptist Church and the I.O.O.F.
Services for William Franklin Shaw are scheduled for Friday, June 2. 1967 at 2:00pm in Tims Chapel, officiated by Rev. C.L. Abercrombie. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
William Franklin Shaw is survived by two sons, Willie Shaw, New Hope, Arkansas; Buster Shaw, Altus, Oklahoma; four daughters, Mrs. Mattie Muse, Apache, Oklahoma; Mrs. C. A. Carey, Altus,; Mrs. Rosie Dewberry, Lubbock, Texas; Mrs. Noah Hale, Altus, one step-daughter, Mrs. Ruby Latham, Kendalla, Texas; three brothers, Guy Shaw Sherman, Texas; Ed Shaw Houston, Texas; Jerome Shaw, Houston, Texas; five sisters, Naomi Shaw, Los Angeles, California; Lina Newman, Los Angeles, California; Minnie Compton, Houston, Texas; Mamie Durham, Houston, Texas, Maggie Peters, Houston, Texas; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
