Obituary for William Eugene Forrester

William Eugene Forrester, age 74, former Altus resident, passed away Wednesday, April 15th, 1998 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born April 12th, 1924 in Eldorado, Oklahoma to the late William Barlow and Juanita (Haggard) Forrester. He had lived in Altus for many years before moving to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Altus High School in 1941, was a member of the Kappa Sigma at Oklahoma University and a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University. He was a Rotarian in Altus for many years. He was a member of the Olivet Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Altus.

On January 9, 1944, he and Billie June Wyman were united in marriage; she preceded him in death May 6, 1984. Mr. Forrester worked for many years as a Remodeling Contractor and Insurance Agent.

Survivors include: three children, Robert Eugene Forrester of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sherron Hubler and her husband Bill of Corpus Christi, Texas and Beverly Ann Moser and her husband John of Richardson, TX; one brother, Donald Forrester and his wife Mary Ann of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Linda Jane Sumner of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, Suzanne Marie Moser of Lubbock, TX attending Texas Tech University, Kirk Patrick Moser of Norman, OK attending Oklahoma University, and Holly Hubler of Georgetown, TX attending Southwestern University.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Billie June Wyman Forrester.

Graveside Services are scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 1998 at 3:30 p.m. at the Altus City Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
