William Delmer Herring age 77, of Headrick, Oklahoma died February 27, 1973 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
William was born January 7, 1896 in Hillsboro, Texas to Presley L. and Edna (Cheaton) Herring.
He married Beryl Martin December 20, 1925, in Hobart, Oklahoma. William moved to southwest Oklahoma in 1906. He farmed until his retirement.
Funeral services for William D. Herring are scheduled for Friday, March 2, 1973 at 10:00 am in the First Baptist Church, Altus, officiated by Keith Wiginton and Bruce Thomas. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
William is survived by his wife, Beryl of the home in Headrick, Oklahoma; sons, Bill Herring, Carmichael, California; Art Herring, Carlsbad, New Mexico; Rodney Herring, Carmichael, California; daughters, Juanita Dishman, Headrick, Oklahoma; Oletta Akins, Altus, Oklahoma; Katie James, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania; Iva Jean Laughery, Clinton, Oklahoma; Alma Gilbreath, Arab, Alabama; Lorene Partent, Dallas, Texas; Wilma Cates Houston, Texas; brothers, Buck Herring, Altus, Oklahoma; Bill Herring, Minor Indiana; two sisters, Iva Weesner, Ft. Rickey, Alabama; Vera Mae Herring, Altus, Oklahoma; thirty three grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
