William W. "Bill" Tripp

William "Bill" W. Tripp, 74, long time resident of Blair died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Saturday Following a vehicle accident East of Altus. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday March 26, 1991 at10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Blair, Oklahoma officiated by Rev. Keith Barbee. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Mr. Tripp was born May 10, 1916 in Barr, Tennessee and was the son of Newton Sykes and Sallie Howell Tripp. He attended Nankipoo High School in Ripley, Tennessee. Moving to Oklahoma in 1936, he married Naomi Elizabeth Walker December 24, 1938 at Frederick, Oklahoma. He farmed and was Postmaster at Blair until his retirement, was a Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Blair and an active member of the Lions Club and Retired Postmasters Organization. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father and Brother: Alfred Dallas Tripp. The family request that donations made to the First Baptist Church of Blair.

Bill is survived by his wife, Naomi of the home in Blair, Oklahoma. Three children, Newton Scott Tripp of Dumas, Texas, Robert Merle Tripp of Blair, Oklahoma and Mary Annette Rowe of Frederick, Oklahoma, One Nephew, Col. Alfred D. Tripp of Kansas City, Kansas. Also ten Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.
