GENTRY
Wanda E. Gentry, age 80, of Altus, formerly of Olustee, passed away early Sunday morning, May 31, 2015, at English Village Manor, in Altus.
Mrs. Gentry was born in Temple, Texas on November 29, 1934 to Otis Warren and Lora Frances (Rozzel) Huff. Growing up on a farm near Temple, Texas she graduated from Rosebud High School. Wanda married Ralph Cates, in Houston, Texas and they moved to Olustee in the mid 1970"s. After Ralph"s death in 1986, she married Harvey Gentry and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2009. In her spare time, Wanda enjoyed painting, working in her flower garden, hunting and doing anything outdoors.
Preceded in death by two husbands and a brother, Verlin Huff, Wanda is survived by one brother, Junior Huff of Little River, Texas; one sister, Maxine Harris of Newport News, Virginia; one nephew, Don Moody and wife Faye of Olustee along with many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at the Olustee Cemetery with Pastor Doug Altom officiating. Services are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
