Mary Wanda Cross, lifelong resident of Jackson County died at her home Thursday following a lengthy illness. Services have been scheduled for Saturday 2:00pm at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Newman Douglas and Bill Osborne. Burial will be in the Altus Cemetery.
Mrs. Cross was born in Headrick to pioneer parents William I. and Sarah L. Douglas. She married Don Cross August 5, 1950 at Headrick, Oklahoma. She was employed at Post Newsweek Cable.
Mrs Cross is survived by her husband Don Cross, Altus, Oklahoma; children, Lionel Cross and wife Cindy of Navajo, Oklahoma; Gary Cross and wife Sharon of Las Vegas, Nevada; Doug Cross and wife Glenda of Altus, Oklahoma; brothers, Ray Douglas of Tulia, Texas; Floyd Douglas, Headrick, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cross was preceded in death by her parents, William I and Sarah L. Douglas, four brothers, Cecil, earnest, earl, W.L. sister, Thelma Lower.
