Walter Carmel Marshall age 55, of Altus, Oklahoma died August 5, 1967 at Memorial Hospital in a Altus. Walter was born April 12, 1912 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Walter and Jewell (Tanner) Marshall. He had been a resident of Altus since 1940 moving here from Claremore, Oklahoma.
Walter married Violet Davis January 10, 1937 in Claremore. He worked for J. C. Penny and later opened Marshall's Menswear in 1947 operating it until his death. Walter was a member of B.P.A.E., Masonic Lodge, Shriner, President of the School Board, Member of School Board for the past several years.
Services for Walter Carmel Marshall are scheduled for Sunday, August 6, 1967 at 2:30pm in the First Christian Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Joe Fredericks. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Walter Carmel Marshall is survived by his wife Violet of the home; one son Ted Marshall, Altus, Oklahoma; Mrs. Roy Risner, Banning, California; one brother, Leo Marshall, Claremore, Oklahoma.
