Virginia Ginger Henton
Virginia 'Ginger' Limehouse Henton, 75, of Altus, Oklahoma passed to Heaven on Saturday
April 7 at her home. Born October 3, 1942, in her beloved Charleston, South Carolina, Ginger is
the loved wife of Larry Donald Henton. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Sarah Alice
Limehouse of Charleston.
She was a 1964 graduate of Winthrop University. Ginger taught school in Charleston before
meeting Larry and beginning their life of almost 50 years together.
She loved spending time and visiting with her friends and family, traveling the world, especially
to the beach, Republican politics, her adopted home of Oklahoma and life.
Her beloved survivors include her husband, daughter Sarah and son Lorin and their spouses,
Blake and Beth, and four grandchildren who Ginger cherished more than anything - Maida,
Henry, Greer of Edina, Minnesota and John Thomas of Dallas, Texas. And they lovingly called
her Noonie. She is also survived by her sister Sarah Jane Armstrong of Grey Court, South Carolina.
Funeral services will be at her church, First United Methodist Church, 317 N Main Street, Altus
on Thursday, April 12 at 2:00 pm.
The family will hold a visitation at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home,
1100 E. Tamarack Road, Altus on Wednesday April 11 from 6-8 pm.
Private family interment will be at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
