Obituary for Virgie Pauline Hoppe
Virgie Pauline Hoppe, age 85, was born on May 20, 1905 at Van Buren, Indiana. She died on September 22nd, 1990 at her home in Altus, OK. She married Charlie Hoppe on July 14, 1923.
She was active in the Altus Porcelain and China Club; Altus Garden Club. She was known as "Skipper" to her friends and family.
Survivors include: four daughters, Pauline Morgan, Pat Stearman and husband Alvin, Ruth Kizziar and husband Don and Rita Selberg and husband John; 12 grandchildren, Jenny Adams, Rith Dennis, (Mike), Kathy Stearman, Kim Wilmes (Jeff); Steve Morgan, Mark Selberg, Jim Selberg, Melinda, Barbara Choate and David Selberg; 11 great-grandchildren, Teresa Stanfield, Cheri Stanfield, Holly Morgan, Joe Morgan, Jamie Morgan, Chad Adams, Kirk Wilmes, Sarah Dennis, Katie Wilmes, Catherine Choate and Jesse Dennis.
She was preceded in death by: three grandchildren, Chuck Stearman, Sharon Stearman and Robert Morgan and son-in-law, Ralph Morgan.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., September 25, 1990 at the First Baptist Church in Altus, OK. Rev. Keith Wigington and Rev. Melvin Moody will officiate. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the supervision of Tim's Funeral Home.
