SCHOOLCRAFT
Victor "Pops" Schoolcraft, age 77, longtime resident of Mangum since 1973, passed away Sunday September 7, 2014 at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City.
Victor was born in Sardis, Oklahoma on September 9, 1936 to John and Ida (Bogal) Schoolcraft. On October 5, 1967 he married Dollie Weaver in Mangum and they were married for over 33 years before her death in 2001. Victor worked for the City of Mangum at the Recycling Center for over 20 years until he retired. Victor enjoyed fishing and camping with his grandkids and spending time with his family and he will be missed very much.
Preceded in death by his wife Dollie; his parents; and one son, Isaac Ray; Victor is survived by one daughter, Darla Isaak and her husband Jason of Mangum; three brothers, Lawrence, John, and Butch Schoolcraft; two sisters, Valena and Percilliah; two grandsons, Michael and Terry Reed; one granddaughter, Kayla Isaak; one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Reed; his adopted grandkids, Summer Morgan and her children, Lane and Jordan; and Brandon Ritter; very special friend, Ronnie Maddox; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 12, 2014 at Riverside Cemetery with Reverend Teresa Usher officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home, Mangum.
