Obituary for Vera Newman Rand
Vera Newman Rand, age 84, passed away at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, on January 1st, 1983. She was born July 7, 1898 in Childress, Texas to Lewis Gray & Sallie Scott Newman. Vera was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Rand. Vera & John were members of the Church of Christ. Vera was Past Matron Eastern Star in Eldorado and was a member of American Legion Auxillary.

Survivors include daughter, Rowena Roberts; son Newman Whisenant; 4 grandchildren and 7 grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Rand will be Tuesday, January 4 1983, at 11AM in Tims Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
