Tommy Beach, age 72, longtime Elmer resident passed away, Monday, October 10, 2005 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Tommy was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching basketball, baseball, football, golf and his most recent sporting interest, Nascar. He especially enjoyed watching his children play throughout their high school and college years. In recent years, he has been a regular fan at the games of his grandchildren as well as those coached by his daughter, Janice.
Tommy and Jane enjoyed many great trips together. For Tommy, the highlights were attending the World Series in St. Louis, the Sugar Bowl and the Rose Bowl.
He is preceded in death by a grandson Brandon Kahle Beach, his parents, a brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Grace Beach, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Loyd and Iva Brisco.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane of the home, three daughters, Janice Hardwick and her husband Tim of Altus, Oklahoma, Carolyn Haught and her husband Mark and Cindy Wakeman and her husband Bobby of Elmer, Oklahoma. one son, Tommy Joe and his wife Diane of Elmer, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; Heath Hocker, Alyson Sanez, Kelsey Haught, Meagan Wakeman, Molly Wakeman, Jordan Beach, Jason Beach, Dory Beach, and Derek Beach. Also five great-grandchildren. Tommy is also survived by a sister, Nadine Coopwood and her husband Graves of Kingman, Arizona and a brother Lynn Beach and wife Pat of Elmer, Oklahoma; sister in law Peggy Risinger and her husband Johnny of Altus, Oklahoma, Pat Easley and her husband Donald of Humphreys, Oklahoma; brother in law Sonny Briscoe and his wife Mary of Quanah, Texas, plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Funeral services for Tommy Beach are set for Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 10:00 am at Lowell_Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Max Rudd and Dr. Joe Langley officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery;
The family will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home; arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Memorial may be made to the WOSC Women's Basketball program in memory of Tommy Beach.
