Obituary for Tom Hubert Hart
Mr. Tom Hubert Hart, age 86, of 718 West Nona, died Sunday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Friday at the Macedonia Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend I.S. Moore, assisted by the Pastor Reverend Donald Jones and Reverend A.C. Carson. Burial will be in Altus City Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born September 27th, 1891 at New Baden, Texas, he was married at Greenville, Texas in 1934 to Bertha Sterling and they moved to Altus that same year. He served on the Deacons Board of his church and over the years a number of other church positions. He was employed with a railroad, was a farmer, served a total of fifteen months in France during World War I with the American Expeditionary Forces and was a member of Altus American Legion Post #44. Interment at Altus City Cemetery will be with full military honors performed by the Ft. Sill Military Post.

Survivors include: his wife, Bertha of the home; two step-sons, C. L. Sterling of Tuscon, AZ and Florence Sterling of Altus; three step-daughters, Bercy Sterling and Alice Williams both of Altus and Rose Severe of Fresno, CA; 15 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
