Thomas Allen Jr., 64, of Morrilton, AR, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025. He was born on July 30, 1960, in Hot Springs, AR, to Thomas and Betty (May) Allen.
Thomas wore many hats in his lifetime. He worked for Keith Smith Chicken Farms and Bobby Ward Construction, and he shoe many horses in his younger years. He trained and rode horses for friends, including Curly Bledsoe. Thomas also drove an ambulance, served as a volunteer firefighter, and worked as an EMT. He had a brief tenure at Ashby Funeral Home and worked for veterinarian Ralph Tester in Clinton, AR. Furthermore, he owned and operated various heavy equipment, proving he could quite literally run any type of machinery. Thomas was truly in his element when he was working or participating in rodeos and wagon racing.
Thomas is survived by his sister, Lynn Harper and her husband Chris of Mangum, OK; his sons, Jason Allen of Newark, AR, and Daniel Allen and his wife of McRae, AR; and two granddaughters, Pecos and Willow. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wade Allen.
Thomas definitely lived life to the fullest and lived it the way he wanted.
Thomas will be laid to rest near his parents at Owensville Cemetery at a later date.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Greer Funeral Home in Mangum, Oklahoma.
