Obituary for Thelma Neta Mitchell
Thelma Neta Mitchell, age 91, longtime Eldorado resident, passed away Friday, May 8th, 1998 at Altus House Nursing Home. She was born April 29th, 1907 in Love County, Oklahoma to the late Edgar R. Crelia and Lillie (Knight) Crelia. Thelma had lived in the Eldorado area since 1916 moving here from Thackerville, OK. On March 8, 1923 in Olustee, Oklahoma, she and Upton Mitchell were united in marriage. He preceded her in death. Thelma was a longtime member of the First Methodist Church of Eldorado, and a homemaker.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, May 11, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Methodist Church of Eldorado with Elbert Shumaker, Billy Roy Hall and Don Harrold officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: one daughter, Neta Terry of Eldorado; one brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Joy Crelia of Eldorado, Oklahoma; one sister, Aubrey Langston of Marietta, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Kenneth; son-in-law, Pete Terry and one daughter-in-law, "Boo" Mitchell.
