Thelma Lucille Gibbons was born June 9, 1912 at Wellington, Texas. She died October 11, 1993 in Altus, Oklahoma. She married Lon G. Gibbons in 1941 in Blanco, Texas and he preceded her in death in 1962. She was a long time resident of Jackson county and Altus having resided here since 1939. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Services are scheduled for 10 am Wednesday at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Ed Lobaugh officiating. Interment will be in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include children; Eddie Gibbons and wife Florene M. of Mt. Park, Oklahoma; Paul Raymond Gibbons of Oklahoma, City, Oklahoma; brother Billy Riley of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren; Eddie Alan Gibbons, Sherrie Webb, Kortni Rachelle Root, Amy Nicole Gibbons, and Gina Deanne Gibbons; three great-grandchildern.

Preceded in death by husband; Lon Gibbons 1962, parents, six brothers and sisters.
