Obituary for Thelma Laverne Hill
Thelma Laverne Hill, 66, of Eldorado, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, February 20, 1997, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services have been scheduled for 2 pm Monday at the Eldorado first Baptist Church with Rev. Don Lander officiating. Interment will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under he direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Laverne was born July 28, 1930 , in Olustee. She was the daughter of Robert and Mattie Piercy. On April 8, 1947, Laverne and Clyde Morris Hill were united in marriage at Altus, Oklahoma. They made their home in Eldorado
Mr. Hill preceded her in death May 21, 1983. Mrs Hill was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eldorado. She worked for the Southwest Community Action in Eldorado as a Bus Driver. Laverne was aver involved in the Meal Site Program. Memorials can be made in Mrs. Hill's name to the Eldorado Ambulance Service or the Eldorado Fireman's Funds.
Survivors include children; Clyde Hill Jr. of Eldorado, Oklahoma, Shelia Frankel of Woodland Hill, California, Ricky S. Hill of Woodward, Oklahoma, Brenda K. Pitts, of Chillicothe, Texas, Douglas L. Hill, Potomac, Illinois; sister Anna Lou Wooten of Eldorado, Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, Clyde, May 21. 1938; 8 brothers, Virgil, A.C., Leon, Lewis, Bud, James, Ray, and Thomas.
