Thelma Bettencourt was born on December 12th, 1921 in Olustee, Oklahoma. She died January 12th, 1990 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bettencourt was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a long time Altus resident, having lived here all her life. She was the daughter of Verner and Lilly (Montgomery) Parker.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, 1990 in the Tims Chapel of Memories officiated by Rev. Keith Wiginton. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery, North of Town, Altus, OK.
Survivors include: her spouse, Larry Bettencourt of the home in Altus, OK; two sons, Wendell Henderson of Coppers Cove, TX and Richard Bettencourt of Altus, OK; one daughter, Sherry Conklin of Altus, OK; a sister, Lila Anderson of Altus, OK; a brother, Jack Parker of Duncan, OK;
11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
