Obituary for Terrell G. Terry Lane
Terrell G. "Terry" Lane, Sr., age 60, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 26, 1995, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Terry was born March 10, 1935, in Kenton, Tennessee. He joined the United States Air Force in 1953, and served his country honorably for 21 years. He was an engineer and instructor on the C141 Starlifter and served during both the Korean and Viet Nam Conflicts. He retired from the Air Force in September of 1974.
Terry became Supervisor in the Utility Department for the City of Altus. He retired in April of 1990. Mr. Lane was a long time member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and had served as a Deacon in the Emmanuel Baptist and Bethel Baptist Churches.
On January 17, 1966, Terry and Dorothy Balthrop were united in marriage at Charleston, South Carolina and have had many wonderful years together.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the home, two sons, Terrell G. Lane Jr. of Charleston, South Carolina; and Timothy G. Lane of Monterrey, California; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonie G. Lane Liddle and her husband Mark of Chenango Forks, New York; and Reabecca S. and Johnny Stafford of Ft. Worth, Texas; five grandchildren, Terrell Claue Allan Stafford, Michael Lawrence Tim Stafford, John Henry Ervin Stafford, Jr., Bambi Arista Dawn Stafford, and Hillari Ruth Liddle; and three great-grandchildren, Ashley Renee Stafford, Michael Heath Stafford, and Michael Tim Stafford,11.
