Obituary for Sylvia Vargas
VARGAS

Sylvia Vargas, 36 of Altus and formerly of Hollis, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma, City.

Sylvia was born in Hollis on May 21, 1977 to David, Sr. and Diana (Martinez) Luna. She graduated from Hollis High School in 1996 and received an Associate’s Degree as a Radiology Technician. Sylvia loved her work as a Radiology Technician and spending with her daughter, she enjoyed shopping, swimming, being outside and going on walks.

Preceded in death by her grandfather, Inez Luna; grandmother, Antonia Martinez; two uncles, Jessie Luna; Jessie Martinez; and one aunt, Aurora Morales; Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Faith Diana Vargas of Altus; ex-husband, Marcos Vargas of Altus; her parents, David, Sr. and Diana Luna of Altus; grandfather, Jose Martinez of Hollis; grandmother, Henrietta Luna of Hollis; two brothers, David Luna, Jr. and wife Kylie of Elk City; Daniel Inez Luna of Elk City; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, May 5, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church in Hollis with Pastor Larry Argo officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home-Hollis.
