Obituary for Stephen Jack Krider
Stephen Jack Krider, Sr. was born April 30, 1941 to Max Lincoln Krider and Marjorie (Hurd) Krider in South Whitley, Indiana. He passed from this life on January 21, 2018 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home.
Steve attended High School in South Whitley, Indiana and received an Associated Degree in Electronical Engineering at Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
On July 11, 1959 Steve married Linda S. Ross and to that union five children were born. Steve moved to Altus in 1981 where he worked for Republic Gypsum Company. On June 30, 1990 he married Glenda J. Roberts and together they operated Steve’s Electronics for many years. In later years Stephen worked for the Altus Public Schools.
Steve was a member of the First Baptist Church, and a member of the Altus Twirler Square Dance Club. He loved watching Western Movies, Cooking, Hunting and Fishing but his favorite past time was being with his family. Anyone who knew Steve knows he lived for food.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, and the love of his life Glenda Krider who died March 6, 2013 and Four Great Grandchildren. He is survived by his children; Lana Sheckler of Alibon, Indiana; Stephen Krider, Jr of Duke, Oklahoma, Kerry Krider, Columbia City, Indiana; Jeff Krider of Alibon, Indiana: Pam Stiles of Wichita, Kansas. Step Children Kim Brakebill of Blair, Oklahoma and Kevin Roberts of Granbury, Texas; Three Brothers: Terry, Denny and Max, Jr. He is also survived by Nineteen Grandchildren and Thirty Three Great Grandchildren.
A Special Thanks go to the Staff at Plantation Village Nursing Home, as well as everyone at his Renal Care Facility for his Dialysis. And the Staff at Jackson County Memorial Hospital and to Dr. Dawood and his P.A. Sam Pollock.
Memorial Service will take place at Lowell-Tims Chapel, 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 24. 2018. Viewing for Mr. Krider is from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to The National Kidney Foundation or American Heart Association.
