Obituary for Shirley Ann Cline
Shirley Ann Cline, 80, resident of Altus, Oklahoma passed away March 26, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Gerty, Oklahoma on November 13, 1939 to Norman and Etta Lena (Hays) Howard. She was raised in the Gerty area. Shirley married John on April 5, 1958 in Gerty Oklahoma. This young couple moved to Mid West City, Oklahoma where Shirley received her high school diploma. In April of 1969 the Cline family relocated to Alts, Oklahoma. For many years she ran a home day care taking care of children under the age of two. She loved and considered as the children she took care of as her own. She retired and closed the day care in September of 1994. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. For almost fifty years she was a member of the Eastern Star serving as a district deputy and a Worthy Matron. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, planting and attending to her flowers, Iris's were her favorite. Sports also played a big part of the Cline house hold and everyone knew she loved the OKC Thunder. Shirley loved all people, but she especially loved children; and her grandchildren were her favorite people on Earth. She had a built in smile but everyone including the grandchildren knew she was the boss.

She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Etta Lena (Hays ) Howard, and Norman Howard, Son; John Norman Cline, Daughter; Baby Sherry Lynn Cline, Five brothers; Lyndle, Norman "Bunk", Carlton, and Walter Howard, Sister; Carol Lynn Matthews; Grandsons; Greg Cline and Michael Cline.

Left to Honor her memory are Husband; John Cline, Son; George William Cline, brother Cecil Howard, four grandchildren; Shay Mease, Lacey Cline, Jessica Cline, Levi Cline, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and extend family.

Viewing hours will be from 1:00 am until 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2020 and Monday, March 30, 2020 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus with 10 people or less at a time.

At this time the family will be holding a private family interment at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.

A public memorial service will be announced in the following weeks.

The Cline family requests that flowers and plants be sent at the time of the public memorial service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell - Tims Funeral Home, Altus, Oklahoma.
