FAUCHER
Sherry L. Faucher, age 64, of Altus, passed away Monday afternoon, December 9, 2013, at Integris Baptist Medical Center, in Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Faucher was born in Granite, Oklahoma on August 1, 1949, to Preston and Betty (Ford) Thacker. A 1967 graduate of Altus High School, Sherry spent most of her life in Altus. On January 31, 1969, she married the love of her life, John Faucher and they spent the next forty-four wonderful years together before her untimely death. Sherry worked for a time at Kellwoods before becoming a fulltime mom, wife and homemaker. A wonderful cook, especially making pecan pies and fudge, Sherry was very involved in Samantha"s school activities as a room mother, making Halloween costumes, decorating cakes and volunteering for PTA or any activity when needed. Sherry also had a special love for her family, friends and Elvis Presley.
Preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Gwen Hayes, she is survived by her husband, John, of the home; one daughter, Samantha Faucher of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Randy Thacker and wife Denise of Conway, Arkansas and Leander Thacker and wife Teresa of Altus along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Sherry Faucher will be at 2 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2013, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
The family will greet friends from 2 - 4 p.m., Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
