Sharron Kay Schnorrenberg, age 70, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Jackson County, passed away late Monday evening, March 30, 2015, at Integris Baptist Medical Center, in Oklahoma City.
Sharron was born in Altus, Oklahoma, on January 10, 1945, to Roland Edward and Ruth L. (Young) Hall, while her family lived on the farm south of Duke. Growing up and attending school at Duke, she was a proud 1963 graduate of Duke High School. Sharron attended Oklahoma State University before transferring to Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Education. Sharron began her first teaching position at Olustee, then took time off to be at home with her children. She returned to teaching at Northeast Junior High, in Altus, from 1974 until 1992. On August 11, 1979, Sharron married Nick Schnorrenberg. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1992, and Sharron taught at Moore West Junior High School from 1992 until 2001, when she retired to rock grandbabies. Family meant everything to Sharron, and in retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and other family members.
Preceded in death by her parents, Sharron is survived by her husband Nick, of the home, in Oklahoma City; three children, Michael Milner and wife Kimberly of Duke, Staci Cope and husband Don of Altus, and Keith Gramling and wife Tammy of Denton, Texas; eight grandchildren, Luke Milner, Matthew Milner, Jacob Cope, Allison Cope, Raegan Cope, Michelle Gramling, Bailey Talbot and husband Tom, and Garrett Gramling; one great granddaughter, Allison Talbot; and her mother-in-law, Wanda Schnorrenberg of Altus. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Gary Hall and wife Susan, Danny Hall and wife Vickie, Risa Darby and husband Ken, all of Duke, and Dana Darby and husband Richard of Altus, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Sharron Schnorrenberg will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Brown and Judge Richard Darby officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
The family will greet friends at Lowell-Tims on Thursday, from 6 until 7 p.m.
