Sharon Kay Greer of Scott City, Kansas passed from this life on April 9, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 69. Sharon was born on March 30, 1956 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Lewis and Hazel (Lobaugh) Tyson. She was raised in Lone Wolf where she also attended school, graduating in May 1974.
After graduation, she went to work for the Credit Bureau of Altus, Oklahoma. She married Kenny Greer on May 30, 1975 at the Church of Christ in Lone Wolf. Sharon later worked for the First National Bank and the Home State Bank both in Hobart, Oklahoma. In 1983 she went to work for the First State Bank of Lone Wolf, where she worked until 1998 before moving to the First State Bank of Altus, Oklahoma.
In 2007, Sharon retired and for the next four years she helped in babysitting and taking care of her identical twin granddaughters, often expressing this as the most enjoyable time of her life, regretting that she couldn’t help with taking care of her other four grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law Kenneth and Pat Greer, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her aunt Linda Lobaugh, whom she often referred to as her second mother.
She is survived by her husband Kenny of the home in Scott City, Kansas; two sons Ryan Greer and wife Megan of Altus, Oklahoma, Tyler Greer and wife Amanda of Sayre, Oklahoma; all of whom she loved dearly and would often state how proud she was of all four of them. And her pride and joy, her six grandchildren: Kenlie and Kelbi of Altus, Oklahoma, Kaiden, Grace, Kaylee, and Easton of Sayre, Oklahoma. One brother Mike Tyson and wife Kim of Thomas, Oklahoma; two nieces Courtney Tyson, Kiley Donley and husband Matt; two great-nieces Kamryn and Kayden Donley; as well as several cousins, too numerous to mention. All her family was very dear to her and Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial services will be held at the Church of Christ in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.
