Obituary for Ruby Gladys Stout
Ruby Stout was born January 10. 1922 in Jackson County. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Susie (Dennison) Renfro. She died December 6, 1999 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Ruby was a life long resident of Jackson County. She married O. Carl Stout, November 11, 1944 in Duke, Oklahoma and Carl preceded her in death June 10, 1997. Ruby worked at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home for may years until she retired. Ruby was a long time and very active member of the First Baptist Church of Altus.
Survivers include two children, Carlotta Clairborne and husband Bill of Denton, Texas, Jim stout and wife Debbie of Altus, Oklahoma; two brothers, Fred Renfro of Duke Oklahoma, Frank Renfro of Cordell, Oklahoma; six grandchildren Dr. Suzanne LaForte and husband Russell LaForte of Galveston, Texas, Stephen Claiborne of Denton, Texas, Karen Claiborne of Galveston, Texas Jamie, Courtney and Craig Stout all of Altus, Oklahoma; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Claiborne of Denton, Texas and Rachel LaForte of Galveston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl Stout, 2 sisters Lorraine (Gid0 McLemore, and May Edwards, 3 brothers, Alfred (Fat) Renfro, Jimmy Renfro, and Maxie Renfro.
Services are scheduled for 3 pm Thursday December 9, 1999 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Keith Wiginton, Sonny Tims and Jimmy Renfro officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
