Rochelle Wray Rippetoe
Rochelle Wray Rippetoe, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Hollis, Ok on July 6, 2021.
Rochelle was born to parents Ovid Patrick and Ruby (Hughes) Patrick on August 6, 1941. She grew up in the areas of Gould and Eldorado, OK, and was a member of Gould High School’s graduating class of 1959. Rochelle furthered her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
On September 30, 1961, She married Wilcey Rippetoe in Gould, OK. This union lasted 59 years and was blessed with two daughters, Mitzi & Michelle, and a son, Brad.
Rochelle worked faithfully for the Hollis Public Library System for more than 20 years. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Gould & Hollis and was a dedicated member of their choir, an honor about which she was extremely passionate. Her main goal in life was to lead by Christian example and to do her best to honor God in her daily devotion.
Rochelle enjoyed spending time with her family, working around her yard and decorating her home. She also set aside special time for reading the bible every day. Additionally, Rochelle was an active member of the 1961 Sorosis Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Ovid Patrick and Ruby Patrick Davidson.
Left to cherish her loving, warm memory are her son: Brad Rippetoe; two daughters: Mitzi and Trey Krampf and Michelle Rippetoe; one brother: Ovid Patrick Jr and his wife Peggy; 4 grandchildren: CJ Sims (Meagan); Mary-Elizabeth Wise (Trevor); Claire Rippetoe and Lexi Spoon; 2 Great grandchildren: Kinsey & Brody Sims; Brother, Ovid and Peggy Patrick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021 at The First United Methodist Church of Hollis.
Services are under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
