Obituary for Robert James Smithey
Robert James Smithey age 49, of Altus, Oklahoma died May 3, 1964 at the Memorial Hospital in Altus. He was born December 29, 1914 in Childress, Texas to E.B. and Della (Butler) Smithey. He had lived in Oklahoma for 30 years. He married Ruby Southerland January 25, 1936. He was an appliance salesman.

Funeral services for Robert James Smithey are scheduled for May 5, 1964 at 3:00pm in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Rev. C.L. Abercrombie. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Robert James Smithey is survived by his wife Ruby of the home; one son R.J. Smithey, Jr. of Altus, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. George Maxwell, Elmer, Oklahoma; Mrs. Vernie Couch, Elmer, Oklahoma; Mrs. Bertha Melton, Blossom, Texas.
