GULLION

Funeral services for Robert Bert "Bob" Gullion, 77, of Mangum, Oklahoma will be at the First United Methodist Church, Mangum, at 10 a.m., on Monday, July 20, 2015 with Pastor Marsha Purtell and Pastor Daryl Coffman officiating. Burial will be at the Roselawn Cemetery, Mangum, with Military Honors, under the direction of Greer Funeral Home, of Mangum.

Bob passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015, at his residence, in Mangum.

Bob was born in Gadsden, Alabama on April 1, 1938, to William Bert and Marie (Perrotto) Gullion. Bob joined the United States Air Force in 1956, where he proudly served his country for six years. On May 3, 1960, Bob married the love of his life, Lois Jean "Jeanne" Heavener, in Altus, and they spent the next forty-seven wonderful years together before her death on July 19, 2007. While stationed at Altus Air Force Base, Bob and Jeanne made their home in Mangum. Following his discharge, Bob was employed at Mangum Brick for many years and later worked at Republic Gypsum, where he retired. An expert wielder and carpenter, Bob could do just about anything with his hands. Many buildings around Greer County bare his handiwork, especially the hundreds of carports he constructed for his neighbors. In 2007, Bob began working for Greer Funeral Home, continuing to serve his fellow man, as was his character. He enjoyed reading westerns and mystery novels, working in his shop and visiting friends. A longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Mangum, the Lions Club and the American Legion, Bob will be missed by the community who loved him and whom he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Jeanne; five brothers, Lanny Gullion, Fred Gullion, Howard Gullion, Bill Gullion and Jack Gullion and a son-in-law, Jerry Dossey.

Bob is survived by, three daughters, Marilyn Dossey of Shawnee, Virginia Ann and husband Allen Brock of Norman, OK and Denise "Deedi" and husband David Watson of Edmond, OK.; six grandchildren, Phillip Fooks of Fort Worth, Sheri and husband Brett Womble of Ruskin, Florida, Justin Short and wife Melisa of Norman, Steven Killman and wife Tana of Bixby, OK, Kelle Killman of Oklahoma City and Kyle Hunter of Edmond; 10 great grandchildren, Dre"Vin Fooks, Qas"Din Fooks, Sky" Lin Womble, Zane Inglesias, Emily Inglesias, Amy Inglesias, Madison Killman, Avery Killman, Tristen Killman and Lily Killman; a brother, Donald Gullion of Elyria, Ohio and many other relatives and friends.

The family will greet friends at Greer Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 until 6 p.m.
