Reta Faye Lowell, age 78. 0f Oklahoma City and former resident of Snyder died at the Windsor Hills Nursing Facility in Oklahoma City Saturday. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 11:00 A. M. in the Snyder First United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Sue Lykins. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

Reta was born August 6, 1927 at Snyder and was the daughter of Cager and Lillie Miller. She attended School in Snyder and was graduated from Snyder High School in 1945. She married Bufford Olan Lowell November 23, 1945 at Vernon, Texas.

Reta and Bufford made their home in Oklahoma City where she entered public service with the Internal Revenue Service in 1946. She retired August 6, 1982. Although a resident of Oklahoma City Rita always considered Snyder home as well.

She was preceded in death by her father Cager Miller in 1962 and her mother Lillie Fay Morgensen Miller in 1995. Survivors include her husband of 60 years Bufford Lowell of Oklahoma City. Also surviving is a number of relatives and friends.
