Obituary for Rena Brannon
Rena Brannon, age 69 of Blair, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma.
Rena was born in Exeter, California on October 30, 1951 to her parents Lonnie and Jimmie Lake. Rena married the love of her life Mike Brannon on February 11, 1971 in Abilene, Texas and they have enjoyed over fifty years of marriage together. The family moved to Blair, Oklahoma in 1992 where they built their life and home following Mikes twenty years of service in the Air Force. Together Rena and Mike spent the next thirty years doing what Rena loved most - playing music and being with her family. Rena will be forever loved and her song will play on in our hearts forever.
Rena is survived by her husband Mike of their home in Blair; two children, Jay Dee Brannon of Blair; and Aquilia "Quil" Lucille Lambert and husband Chip of Schertz, Texas; four brothers, Weldon Lake; David Lake; Loyd Lake; and John Lake; four sisters, Lynn Forster; Treva Slacke; Gail Tutten; and Nita Farrington; five grandchildren, Penny Alyssa Lambert, Benjamin Aaron Lambert, Molly Alayna Lambert, Matthew Alexander Lambert; and Carly Grace Brannon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends. Rena is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Jimmie Lake.
The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Blair, Oklahoma.
