Obituary for Raymond Lee Barnett
Raymond was born March 12, 1921 at Hollis, OK. He died October 31st, 1992 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He married Gwen Cansler October 5, 1940 at Erick, OK. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II at France, Germany and Austria. He owned and operated Barnett Funeral Home in Hollis, OK from 1957-1981. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of the American Legion, VFW and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Services are scheduled for 2 P.M., Monday, November 2,1992 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Tims officiating. Interment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Wisdom and Lon Barnett.
Survivors inlude: his wife, Gwen from Altus; three children, Sharon Ford of Altus, OK, Rick Barnett of Durant, OK and Raylene Quisenberry of Watonga, OK; four brothers, Arthur Earl Barnett of Watsonville, CA, Chester Burley Barnett of Waynesville, OH, Charles Afton Barnett of Renton, WA and Joe Barnett of Canadian, TX; two sisters, Rachel Bayless of Pampa, TX and Eunice Burgess of Pottsboro, TX; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
