Ramona Lee Pendleton, age 75, of Mangum, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009, at the Sac Osage Hospital in Osceola, Missouri.
Ramona was born on May 13, 1934, in Russell, Oklahoma, to Alvin Francis and Eva Lee (Higgins) Nunn. Moving from Russell, into Mangum, she completed her school days and then left for California for the next twenty-five years. Ramona moved back to Mangum in the mid 1970"s where she owned and operated several restaurants. Ramona was a very giving person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her father, she is survived by her mother, Eva Lee Taylor of Arkansas; two sisters, Sherry Burns and husband Danny of Collins, Missouri and Josephine Nunnery and husband Buddy of Rector, Arkansas along with several grandchildren and many other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Ramona Pendleton will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2009, at the Abundant Life Church with Brother Jeff Dill officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
