Quinten L. Grubbs, age 91, of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at The Cottages Senior Care Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Quinten was born April 26, 1919, to Alcy C. and Fannie L. (Paxton) Grubbs in Granfield, Oklahoma. He married Eula Virginia Patterson on December 29, 1948 in Duke, Oklahoma. After Virginia"s death, he married Joyce Alameda Atwood on May 9, 1984 in Reno, Nevada.
Quinten was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, five sisters; Arlena Avery, Avis Holland, Alberta Grubbs, Daisy Jordan, Mary Belle Parker and three brothers; John, Herman and Orville (Bud). He is survived by one sister; Nadine Cosgrove of Frederick, Oklahoma, two sons; Doug and his wife Maribeth of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Larry and his wife Carol of Rathdrum, Idaho, one daughter; Quintena Sowders of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at the Jester Cemetery with Delbert Taylor officiating. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
